How Birth Cards Are Calculated

Birth cards are calculated using the formula: MM + DD + YY + YY

The process works like this:

1. Break your year into two 2-digit numbers (e.g., 1985 → 19 + 85)
2. Add month + day + first two digits of year + last two digits of year (e.g., 06 + 15 + 19 + 85)
3. If the sum is 2 digits: Add the two digits together (e.g., 18 → 1 + 8 = 9)
4. If the sum is 3 digits: Add the first two digits to the third digit (e.g., 125 → 12 + 5 = 17)
5. Keep reducing by adding digits until you get a number 0-22
6. The first number is your primary birth card
7. Further reduce that number to a single digit for your secondary birth card
